The Importance of Developing Soft Skills among Technical University Students
Abstract
In today's digital society, characterized by rapid technological development, technical universities play an important role in training specialists who can effectively cope with the challenges of modern industry. However, apart from technical skills, developing soft skills among students becomes critical. This article examines the importance of developing soft skills among technical university students in the context of a digital society. Soft skills such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity become an integral part of students' professional training. The article highlights the need for a balance between technical skills and soft skills. The impact of digital transformation on changes in demand in the labor market is also considered, where, in addition to technical knowledge, the ability to adapt, creative problem solving and effective interaction in a team is increasingly valued. In conclusion, the article emphasizes the need to integrate soft skills training in technical universities to prepare qualified specialists who can successfully overcome the challenges of modern society.
