Abstract

The paper considers call for and possibility of humankind to become ready to utilization of resources and energy of outer space. Importance of energy security issues is permanently growing. Promising direction of energy development is utilization of outer space energy. Author considers types of outer space resources and energy, current status and prospects of energy related technologies of spacecraft and provision of space and Earth-based users with energy.
