Православие и проблема прощения

В статье исследуется подход к психологии прощения с точки зрения Восточного Православия. В последнее время психологи начали исследовать природу и процесс про-щения одного человека другим. Эти исследования показывают, что прощение способ-ствует улучшению душевного и физического здоровья того, кто прощает. Православное богословие подтверждает, дополняет и вносит частичные коррективы в то, что получено в исследованиях психологов. Православный взгляд на прощение подчеркивает важность смирения в борьбе с собственным гневом, а также усилий, направленных на примирение с обидчиком. Труды некоторых Отцов Церкви указывают на то, что прощать следует, во-первых, ради блага обидчика и только лишь во-вторых ради собственного блага. Корни этой совершенно особенной точки зрения Православия об-наруживаются в православном богословии, которое отличается от западных бого-словия и философии, а также в богатой литургической жизни Православной Церкви.

Часть исследования, изложенного в статье, была проведена во время моей стажировки в России в период 1998-1999 учебного года. Отрывки из этой статьи появлялись уже в публикации в Journal of Psychology and Theology (Журнале психологии и богословия) (Гассин, 2001), а также были представлены в докладах, сделанных на ежегодных Знаменских и Рождественских чтениях в России (в 2000 и 2001 годах).
