Traditions of Musical Education of the Russian Orthodoxy Orientation in the Context of Old Russian Psychological Views
Abstract
The interrelation of esthetic and spiritual development of a person in the process of church singing mastering is under discussion in this article. Church singing is regarded as a «divine» by its origin and internal sense, as a «soul's forward movement towards good deeds». Church singing called for a person's attention to his/her internal world and to spiritual perfection. The inner interrelation of musical and spiritual bases in musical education on preservation of the spiritual basis priority is under discussion.
