Emotional well-being and sociability: crosscultural aspect

808

Abstract

This work presents a hypothesis about negative correlation between individual's emotional well-being and his/her sociability, as possible in societies with negatively-asymmetrical emotional-expressive normative communication system. This hypothesis was supported by research carried out in Poland. Moreover, study shows that this relation concerns firstly positive emotions. Having positive emotions may lead an individual to limited communication.
