Memory for a Lifetime

Abstract

The article presents recollections of a P. I. Zinchenko student and colleague about working under his guidance. His professional and personal characteristics encouraged the searching for and solving a number of new problems in the field of psychology of memory and learning, as well as cohesion of the initiative and dedicated researchers. With sincere sympathy to the scientist his striking features are described, showing a truly harmonious personality of the researcher and leader. His great influence on the formation of the professional qualities of his students is emphasized. It was a unique combination of insistence on highest scientific standards with a rare respect, understanding and caring about each one of his students.
