Abstract

The paper provides an understanding of the mind as of the 'mental body' of individual, the one that is not identical with him/her, but in which the general, objective psychological laws are teleologically transformed and individualized implementing the inner activity of the Self. From this perspective the paper explores the reasons underlying the estrangement of general psychology in its traditional sense and of personality psychol- ogy with its spiritual and practical orientations, reviews the fundamental differences in their objects and meth- ods and the possibilities for their interaction and mutual enrichment.
