A model of analysis of intonation and voice within the framework of the supervision at the hot-line service

Abstract

The article presents a model for analyzing of therapeutic communication from the standpoint of intonation and voice. The model is intended for 1) supervisor analysis and reflection by the hot-line service consultant of the specifics of the non-verbal aspect of communication; 2) for detailed analysis of intonation strategies of the therapist and the client; of methods of voice usage; of information that is transmitted in communication by paralinguistic and extra-linguistic means; of specifics of the forming by the consultant of intonation and vocal image of the client.
