Traumatic Events in the Life of an Adult Woman and the Impact of Post-Traumatic Stress on the Identification of a Mother-Daughter Diad

Abstract

The aim of the study is to investigate the nature of the traumatic events in the lives of women having adult daughters, as well as to determine the characteristics of identification in a pair of mother-daughter when expressed post-traumatic stress in mother. Hypotheses about the most traumatic effect of events associated with a dangerous illness, and death of loved ones, and that the higher the level of post-traumatic stress in mother, the greater the tendency of the overlaying of mother and daughter personality profiles, were confirmed. The results are justified, and compared with data from studies of domestic and foreign authors.
