Abstract

Context and relevance. The article is devoted to the study and analysis of time perspective as a criterion of post-traumatic growth in women with perinatal loss experiences. The relevance is due to the widespread occurrence of perinatal losses and their impact on women's psychological well-being. Objective: to identify and describe the features of the transformation of time perspective as a criterion of post-traumatic growth in women with perinatal loss experience. Methods and materials. The study involved 102 women aged 24 to 45. Of these, 48 women had a history of perinatal loss. To achieve this goal, the following survey methods were used: “Psychological autobiography” (L.F. Burlachuk, E.Yu. Korzhova), “Semantic time differential” (L.I. Wasserman), “Scale of psychological well-being” (K. Ryff), “Depression scale” (A. Beck), “The scale of assessment of the impact of a traumatic event” (M.J. Horowitz), “The Scale of existence” (A. Langle, K. Orgler), as well as a standardized research interview. Results. The results showed that the features of the time perspective reflect positive changes in the process of personal transformation, including reflection on the past, involvement in the present, and planning for a meaningful future in women with perinatal loss experiences. Conclusions. Perinatal loss causes significant psychological difficulties, but it also creates conditions for post-traumatic growth. Deep reflection on past experiences, engagement in the present, and building an optimistic and realistic vision of the future contribute to personal growth, while social support and self-acceptance become key resources for women who have experienced perinatal loss. This study contributes to understanding the mechanisms of coping with perinatal loss and can be used to improve psychological support for women who have experienced this trauma.
