Role of Semantics in Sound Fragments Duration Reproduction

923

Abstract

Results of experimental research on perception features of natural, reverse, and conventional psychophysical signals are presented. A six)scale method of semantic differential was developed for describing sound fragments. It was shown that latent variables determining description of natural and artificial sound fragments are identical. Results indicate correlations between sound fragment descriptions and mistaken reproduction of their duration.
