Abstract

The author investigated the relationship between the attachment of the child to the mother and the image of the child in a two-child family. The results obtained showed the following. 1) The attachment of the child to the mother formed in early childhood is not decisive in the development of the child in younger adolescence. 2) The unreliable attachment of the child to the mother, which arose at an early age, adversely affects the image of the child of young adolescence. 3) The reliable attachment of the child to the mother formed in early childhood favorably affects the image of the child of young adolescence.
