Abstract

The author hypothesizes that the understanding of art by children is based on certain meaning-generating systems. These systems are an expression of children's generalized view of the phenomena of life involved in the world of art, which is formed in the field of sociocultural conditions of child development, including art education. The author also suggests that due to the variety of these conditions, several systems may form in the same child. An experimental study confirmed this hypothesis.
