Abstract

The article describes the psychological examination of the barbie doll from the position of psychology L.S. Vygotsky. The problem of the existence of a norm of understanding the relationship between the sexes and gender in the preschool game was considered. An experiment was set up consisting of two parts: 1) initiating a game with a Barbie doll; 2) Playing with regular dolls. As a result of the study, it turned out that playing with Barbie allows the child to comprehend the relationships between the sexes that he sees in the world around him.
