Abstract

The work is devoted to the study of the parental attitude structure and of the changes it undergoes throughout the child's ontogene sis. The primary goals were to analyze and systematize the existing categories describing the parental attitude; to construct the scientifi cally proved approach to its analysis and methods of studying. The authors offer a new approach to understanding and exploration of the structure of parental attitude based on dis tinguishing two of its specific principles: objec tive and personal. Also the authors introduce a new understanding of parental upbringing and offer original variants of parental upbringing style; they show the correlation between the parents' attitude and style of upbringing. It's for the first time when the age aspect of the pa rents' attitude is studied and the dynamics of parental attitude towards a child and styles of upbringing at different stages of child's deve lopment are observed.
