Development of Students' Independence in Comprehensive School While Building Personal Professional Perspectives

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the study of high school students' professional self-determination peculiarities. The objective is to describe its structure, to determine the professional guidance that is needed and what a school psychologist can do in such situation. The article presents definitions of the term 'independence' found in psychological and pedagogical literature as well as the author's definition. A table of factors forming a system of independence levels is given along with description of its potential usage. The article presents preliminary analysis of empirical research data of active methods in professional orientation influence independence development.
