Psychological counseling and psychotherapy of child-parent relationships

Article presents an overview of the currently central approaches of child-parent relationships psychotherapy discussed in the international scientific journals. The following topics are presented: reinforcement of emotional connections using arttherapy for the pair: parent-child, applying methods of sensory stimulation of motor and cognitive development, as well as nonverbal actions. Family interrelationships analysis based on the attachment theory. Work with an autistic child and specifics of child-parent relationships therapy. Psychotherapy for family members going through a divorce. The family role in overcoming behavioral problems in children with elevated level of aggression and adolescents from the risk group.
