Abstract

The article outlines the results of a study of psychological difficulties that law enforcement officials have while investigation of juvenile gang offences as well as actual and possible forms of psychologist’s participation at the stage of preliminary investigation. The functions of a psychologist as a specialist and a consultant participating in the investigation of juvenile gang offences are proposed. Crime investigator using the psychological knowledge and psychological technologies as well as addressing to a psychologist and/or consultant on the most complex criminal cases will increase the efficiency of crime investigation of juvenile gang offences.
