A Concept of Decision Support System for Intelligence Testing

727

Abstract

We present a new decision support system based on the use of factor models and Kohonen self-organizing maps, and a filtration method of artifacts that distort test results and are caused by environment influence, such as fatigue, cheating etc. Removal of artifacts is performed by comparing observed and predicted responses to questions using adapted Kalman filter. Based on test answers, we estimate the distribution of measures of correspondence to various development levels of abilities. The required level of findings reliability being reached, the test procedure can be optimized by reducing redundant tasks. The approach proposed has advantages over the previously used methods of testing, due to its greater informativity associated with the influence of the time factor on test results.
