Abstract

The article is devoted to the research of motivation of moral behavior of pupils of VII-VIII grades of secondary schools. According to modern perceptions of psychology regarding moral behavior, there are two main types of motives of moral acts: social in a general sense and cognitive. The empirical research conducted by the author included an experiment using the method of motive attribution for construction of psychosemantic space. 120 pupils of Ufa schools aged from 13 to 14 took part in it. The development of the method is described in detail. The results make it possible to specify the main motives of performance of moral acts of modern senior adolescents and their correlation. Motivation patterns identified in the course of the research will make it possible to develop complex programs oriented toward moral development of adolescents through targeted influence on semantic structures of personality.
