Features of status behavior of people with different levels of Machiavellianism

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of finding the relationship between the techniques and patterns of status behavior and the level of Machiavellian personality, as well as to the identification of interdependencies between tactics of status behavior in people with different social status and their level of manipulation. The study was conducted on students of 4 and 5years, Faculty of Social Psychology, Moscow State University of Psychology and Education. The study revealed the main set of techniques and methods – tactics –of status behavior in subjects with different levels of Machiavellianism, showing the correlation relationship between the two. The results contribute to a more complete picture of the structural aspects of the status behavior and Machiavellian manifestations as personality characteristics.
