Abstract

The article deals with the results of the research of connection between personal peculiarities of serial sexual murderers and characteristics of criminal behavior. It points out the topicality of investigation of murderer’s personal peculiarities on the criminal activity in order to solve the law enforcement tasks. Such research is useful in order to improve the methods of psychological profiling of unidentified murderers. The results of assessment of personal and behavioral particularities of serial sexual killers that was carried out in the process of psychological analysis of archived data on solved criminal cases are provided. The article also analyzes the character of impact of such factors like biopsychical, psychosexual and psychosocial qualities on criminal activity of the murderers. The features of social disadaptation in different fields of murderers’ life that are the indicators of criminal deformation of his personality are revealed.
