Family upbringing style and value orientations of adolescents with deviant behavior

The contribution is devoted to research of family upbringing style and value orientations of adolescents with deviant behavior who are supported by Federal State-funded Organization “City Center “Children of the streets” of the South East Administrative District and registered in the Commission on juvenile affairs and protection of their rights. The sample group of the research consisted of 15 girls and 15 boys. As a result of the research the authors identified the adolescents’ perceptions of techniques, mindsets and upbringing methods used by their parents. A rating of terminal and instrumental values was prepared basing on received data. In the course of the research the authors identified the peculiarities of distribution of value orientations in the groups of boys and girls and also in groups of adolescents from complete and incomplete families. The results of the research identified correlational connections between family upbringing style and value orientations, which are specific for boys and girls.
