Research of the level of expression of perfectionism among adolescents with deviant behavior

Abstract

The contribution describes the results of the research of the level of expression of perfectionism among senior adolescents with deviant behavior. 454 adolescents of both genders participated in the research. The age of the tastees ranged from 15 to 17 years. The research was carried out in three Moscow schools: a mass general education school, a mixet cadet corps and a special school for adolescents with deviant behavior. The aim of the research was to define the level of expression of perfectionism among adolescents of the researched group, to identify gender differences and age-related peculiarities. The results showed that adolescent pupils of the special school for adolescents with deviant behavior had the least expressed level of perfectionism. Besides, the research identified gender differences in the level of perfectionism among adolescents aged 15-17: the boys showed higher grades of expression of the studied characteristic. Age-related peculiarities show that adolescents aged 17 have a higher level of perfectionism than younger testees.
