Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of differences in the characteristics of the psychological health of police officers, depending on the conditions of service. The study involved 117 people aged 23 to 45 years, the staff of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia across the Belgorod region, as well as employees of territorial police departments, serving in units: patrol service of the police, traffic police and local policeman. Their examination was carried out by a complex of three psychodiagnostic methods. Based on the results obtained, it is concluded that in everyday conditions of service employees using adaptive mechanisms of coping behavior have a high level of expression of a number of indicators of psychological health, namely: "self-acceptance", "acceptance of others", "adaptation" and "emotional comfort". In special conditions of service, they are characterized by high rates of "goals in life", "adaptation", "environmental management" and "self-acceptance". Employees who use non-adaptive mechanisms of coping with stress in everyday conditions of service have low values of indicators of "life goals", "personal growth"and" positive relationships". In special conditions of official activity low values of indicators of "autonomy", "personal growth" and "internality"are peculiar to them.
