Abstract

The paper presents the outcomes of the empirical research on intragroup structuring in student groups and mutual assessment in group members of various statuses. Groups of university students differ a lot in the level of their social psychological development, which is mostly due to the period of their functioning. Moreover, the character of intragroup structures of attraction, reference relationships and informal authority is qualitatively different in first-, third- and fifth-year students of university. Also, the article provides empirical evidence that intragroup status reveals itself differently in the process of students' mutual assessment depending on their year of study — first, third or fifth.
