Interrelation of Status Differentiation and Integration in Student Groups of Senior Adolescents

1168

Abstract

The paper presents the results of the research on relation between status differentiation and integration in student groups of adolescents. The outcomes show that senior adolescents with various integral statuses in the system of informal interpersonal relationships of the class contribute specifically to the integrative processes within the student group. The paper concludes that emotional cohesiveness in a group of senior adolescents is for the most part determined by the system of relationships built by students with middle statuses, while value2based unity depends chiefly on intragroup activity of students with high and middle statuses rather than of those with low statuses.
