Power, Attraction and Reference in Macro-level Social Relationships: Closed Group and Closed Society

Abstract

The paper presents outcomes of a research which aimed to empirically test a hypothesis that A.V. Petrovsky's three-factor model of the 'significant other', commonly used to analyze relationships of interpersonal significance and to effectively describe the social context of a small group, may as well be applied for the purposes of macro-level relationships analysis.
