Abstract

It is proven that the understanding of facts, events and phenomena in diff erent realities is based on unequal psychological grounds. Th e theoretical foundations of psychology of understanding of a multi-dimensional world, arguing that the human world is made up of three realities — empirical, sociocultural and existential — are described. Th eoretical foundations of psychology of understanding are looked at as a combination of the whole and the variable. Th e author analyses similarities in understanding facts, events, situations in each reality, as well as diff erences, their psychological specifi city; methods and types of understanding.
