The Main Principles of The Formation of End-to-End Digital Competencies for Students in the Process of Mastering Additional Professional Programs

Abstract

This article is devoted to the definition of a new concept in professional pedagogy – “end-to-end digital competencies”, as well as the definition of the main pedagogical principles of their formation in higher education in the process of mastering by students of non-core IT areas of additional professional retraining and advanced training programs at the stage of digital transformation of higher education. The authors analyze the scientific literature on the interpretation of the concept of “end-to-end digital competencies”, based on the analysis, the author’s definition of this concept is given. The report presents a matrix of end-to-end digital competencies divided into basic, professional and personal ones. This matrix is the basis for the development of competencies in the implementation of additional professional programs. In conclusion, the article outlines the basic principles of the formation of end-to-end digital competencies for senior students of higher school with the parallel development of basic and additional educational programs through e-learning using a mixed model, and taking into account the construction of individual learning trajectories for senior students of the university. The procedure for assessing the level of formation of end-to-end digital competencies among students upon completion of training in additional professional education programs is also outlined.
