Networking of Educational Organizations to Solve the Problems of Inclusive Education: Problems, Prospects, Practice

Abstract

The article deals with the problem of including students with disabilities in the educational process of schools within the framework of inclusion. Based on the analysis of modern research, a number of problematic issues that hinder the development of inclusive education system are identified. As an alternative to existing approaches to the construction of the educational process for children with disabilities, the principle of network interaction of educational organizations is considered. The interviewing of representatives of educational organizations of Smolensk region allowed to determine the range of barriers and note the prospects of network interaction between partner schools. The presented summarized results of qualitative research allow to draw a conclusion about positive changes in terms of educational infrastructure of partner organizations, management of the learning process of children with disabilities, the quality of educational program development by students with disabilities and access to programs of early career guidance, as well as to courses of additional education. The article provides examples of successful practices of the Smolensk Education Center for Children with Special Educational Needs in teaching children with disabilities through networking with the use of distance learning technologies. The experience of building an educational space, organizing career guidance work, as well as including "special" students in large-scale network projects were considered.
