Abstract

This article discusses the effectiveness of using video resources on the Internet when teaching English. The relevance of the topic of this work is due to the spreading computer training system, and is also associated with the need for information technology in the educational process with an increase in the quality of education. The topics of information technologies, in particular video resources, in the process of teaching a foreign language, have devoted their works to many researchers, however, theoretical sources on this topic do not consider specific modern video resources of the Internet. The main advantages of using video resources in English lessons are: the speech and thought activity of students in the classroom, work on listening and pronunciation skills, as well as consolidating previously studied material. The use of video materials in accordance with the lessons and raising the level of the language brings positive results in teaching a foreign language. However, it should be remembered that it is impossible to learn a language on your own using only video resources; this requires additional sources of knowledge acquisition: classes with a teacher, studying reference material. The rational and systematic use of video materials in the lessons of a foreign language is a standard condition for organizing effective learning.
