7

Abstract

The paper is focused on the comparative analysis of perceptions of students, teachers and parents about the purposes of using mobile devices in the educational process. The study involved 1114 students, 357 teachers and 438 parents of children studying in secondary schools. The survey revealed significant differences in the perception of goal-setting of digital behavior of students by representatives of these groups. Students demonstrate a wide range of objectives for using gadgets, including for educational purposes, preferring entertainment content and communication with other people. At the same time, teachers and parents more often associate mobile devices with entertainment and underestimate their importance in students' communication. It was revealed that teachers have the most skeptical view on the use of mobile devices by students, seeing gadgets as an instrument of distraction from the learning activities of students. Parents to a greater extent agree in their ideas about the purposes of using gadgets with students, but they underestimate their involvement in the use of gadgets. The results of the study point to the need for more in-depth study of students' digital behaviors in order to provide effective strategies for developing patterns of constructive gadget use by students. The authors emphasize the importance of cooperation of all participants of educational relations for the formation of students' skills of safe and productive use of mobile technologies.
