Digital technologies have become an integral part of everyday life, and the digital transformation of education is a priority area of state policy in the Russian Federation. The Government Decree of October 18, 2023, defines the strategic direction for the digital transformation of education through 2030. Its main objective is “achieving a high degree of digital maturity in the education sector based on a unified, high-quality, and secure educational space, built with equal access to verified digital educational content and digital educational services throughout the Russian Federation for all categories of educational participants.” Among the key priorities is “creating conditions for the functioning of an electronic information and educational environment, including electronic information resources, electronic educational resources, a combination of information and telecommunication technologies, and relevant technological tools, while ensuring that students fully master educational programs regardless of their location.” This strategic direction is overseen by the Russian Ministry of Education.
Participants represent a wide international community, including Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, India, Japan, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, and China. Russian contributors come from across the country—from St. Petersburg to Sevastopol, and from Ussuriysk to Moscow—demonstrating the truly nationwide scope of the event.
