Substantive Aspects of the Assessment (Self-Assessment) of the Competencies of Specialists Who Are Ready to Provide Emergency and Crisis Psychological Assistance to Participants of Educational Relations

Abstract

The article describes the procedure of assessment (self-assessment) of psychological service specialists in the education system (hereinafter referred to as the Assessment) proposed by the Federal Coordination Center for Psychological Service in the Education System of the Russian Federation of the Moscow State University of Psychology & Education. Based on the results of the Assessment, it is planned to form a Federal Register of teachers-psychologists who have the competence to provide emergency and crisis psychological assistance to participants in educational relations (hereinafter — the Federal Register). The assessment procedure is supposed to comply with the principles of phasing and competence approach and includes a psychodiagnostic examination of the candidate’s personality, determining the level of his professional knowledge, their effective application in simulated conditions within the framework of situational analysis, conducting a multimodal interview to obtain broader information from the candidate regarding his personal self-presentation, further professional prospects, self-assessment of the results of previous stages. Based on the results of the assessment procedure, the expert commission, based on a system of criteria, decides on the inclusion of a candidate in the Federal Register.
