Abstract

Abstract Context and relevance. The increasing importance of mental health underscores the need to develop psychological support services. Participants in educational relations represent one of the most vulnerable groups in need of such support. We have examined studies revealing the influence of various factors on the emergence of crisis situations and states. Despite the development of psychoprevention, crisis states arise not only among students but also among their surroundings — peers, teachers, parents — making the organization of an emergency psychological assistance system in education a priority task. Research by O.A. Ulianina, L.A. Gayazova, A.V. Ermolaeva, K.A. Fayzullina in the field of emergency psychological assistance within the education system has demonstrated the value of creating emergency psychological assistance services based in educational institutions. However, the need has arisen to examine regional experience in order to identify possible further prospects for developing the system of emergency psychological assistance in the education sector of the Sverdlovsk region. Purpose. To describe the current state and development prospects of the emergency psychological assistance system in education in the Sverdlovsk region, based on the experience of the Center for Psychological, Pedagogical, Medical and Social Assistance “Lado”. Hypothesis. A description of the current state and development prospects of the emergency psychological assistance system in education in the Sverdlovsk region, created based on the experience of the Center for Psychological, Pedagogical, Medical and Social Assistance “Lado”, will allow for an assessment of the current outcomes of the system’s work and enable the design of a further path for its development and the optimization of methods used by education system specialists. Methods and materials. The work was carried out using historical and comparative methods; systematization and conceptualization of scientific ideas; theoretical modeling; analysis of monitoring studies on suicidal behavior among minors in the region. Results. The results present the operational procedures of the Emergency Psychological Assistance Department at the Center for Psychological, Pedagogical, Medical and Social Assistance “Lado”, demonstrate examples of algorithm implementation, and provide trends in suicidal behavior among minors for 2022—2024. Conclusions. The analysis of the Emergency Psychological Assistance Department’s work demonstrates the high effectiveness of the emergency psychological assistance system in education and allows for the further development of the organizational framework for the activities of psychological service specialists within the education system. As a prospect for further development at the current stage, we see the structuring of procedures for providing emergency psychological assistance in education and enhancing the competence of psychological service specialists in providing emergency psychological support within each educational institution.
