Research on Age Ratings of Animated Films

3344

Abstract

The paper focuses on the poorly explored problem of perception of animated films in preschool children. A hypothesis tested in the study concerns the differences in the child's perception of appropriate and inappro¬priate (for his/her age) animated films. The study involved children aged 5—6 years who were invited to watch two animations: one was appropriate for their age ("Varezhka/The Mitten"), and another was inappropriate ("Ben 10").
