Abstract

The differences between men and women in compliance with the recommendations of the dentist in caring for the oral cavity are considered. The psychological characteristics of patients who fulfill and do not follow the recommendations are described. The study involved 98 people (63 women and 35 men). Psychodiagnostic methods: Multidimensional Questionnaire on Health, Test "Diagnosis of Interpersonal Relations", Characteristic Questionnaire Leonhard - Shmishek, Self-Assessment Questionnaire of the State of the Military Medical Academy, Personal Questionnaire Bekhterevsky Institute, Dental Questionnaire (Orekhova L.Yu., Kudryavtseva T.V., Tachalov V.V.). Indices of dental oral health during the I and II examinations, which reflect the quality of the patient's medical recommendations were obtained. Identified personality features of women and men associated with compliant behavior. Women with good oral hygiene had such personality characteristics as: extraversion, internal locus of control, authoritarian type of interpersonal relations, hyperthymic or demonstrative type of accentuation of character.
