Abstract

The article examines in detail those collections of words and hagiographies of E.E. Egorov's manuscript collection, that contain the Vita of St. Alexander Svirsky. The closest related manuscripts in terms of textual, linguistic and palaeographic peculiarities are established. For example, the last leaves of the manuscript of RSL f. 98 No. 44 are written by the same scribe as the manuscript of RDL f. 209, No. 331 and RPL Volkov Collection No. 49. This is indicated by the proximity of initials, handwriting, and bindings. It is highly probable that one master worked on these three copies, which are now in different repositories. The peculiarity of the texts of the hagiography RSL f. 98 No. 1805 is the uncharacteristic composition, thanks to which it is also possible to identify the texts closest to it. Exactly the same situation is observed in the RGB f. 277 No. 279 and in the Mezensk collection, No. 2. A new version of the Life is presented in Egor. 1795, also with a high probability of Vyg.
