Abstract

In this article, the famous psychologist L.I. Bozhovich analyzes the development of personality and thinking of adolescents. Factors influencing the development of self-awareness, self-esteem are considered. Psychological features common to all adolescents are noted. They are based on the development of reflection. The author shows that the dream, which is a typical companion of adolescence, performs the same function as playing in preschool: both represent a way to realize those affective trends that cannot be embodied in their daily lives.
