Abstract

The article analyzes the difficulties in learning the initial course of mathematics that occurred in children of primary school age. The basis of these difficulties can be individual features of the formation of higher functions due to the immaturity of certain functional blocks of the neuropsychic organization of the brain. The difficulties of reducing actions in solving arithmetic problems analyzed in the article can be a consequence of the disproportionate development of higher mental functions.
