Ten Conferences on the Problems of Special Children Development. Ten Steps from Innovation to Norm.

Abstract

The article gives the summary of the history of ten conferences which were carried out in 1995–2004 by group of experts, who work today in the Center of Prophylaxis of Asocial Behaviour and Orphanhood of MGPPU. Each of the conferences was devoted to one of the aspects of the problem of education and development of special children and consisted not only of experience and information exchanging, but also included the collective creative projection activity directed to the decision of raised problems. The participants are the authors of innovational approaches to work with special children and their families which have the precedents of the problems decision which are unsolved in existing educational systems and social work. The basic direction of the conferences' work is cultural registration, translation and institutionalization of innovational experience and transformation it into norm of activity in education systems and social work. Ten conferences are ten steps on a way from innovation to norm.
