Abstract

The author studies the role of educational creativity in the teaching of foreign languages by the method of activization suggested by G.A. Kitaigorodskaia. The understanding of creativity as a processes of internal activization of a person in a problem situation is stated. Thus the author concludes that embodying the creativi ty aspect in the teaching/learning process and in teaching a foreign language in particular is very effective. The author describes the conditions that, according to the method of activization, are necessary for stimulating speech activity and creativity of students and shows their effect. The author gives the description and samples of creative tasks used in training by the given method which demand independent for mation of speech behaviour from students. The author proves that the efficiency of teach. Also the author proves the necessity of cre ativity elements and creative tasks in any edu cational process.
