Medical, Psychological and Social Support to Children with Borderline Personality Disorders in Compensatory Educational Institutions

Abstract

The authors have systematically analysed borderline personality disorders (BPD) in 340 early schoolage children. In accordance with the BPD typology they propose a model of medical, psychological and social support to children in compensatory educational institutions. The main structural elements of such support are differentiated modules of correctional and rehabilitation programmes corresponding to different types of BPD (dysontogenesis, deprivation and cerebral alteration). The authors show that using this typology in rehabilitation and correction in compensatory educational institutions would provide a more comfortable and easy transition to common educational environment for children with BPD.
