Abstract

The article provides brief review of education of gifted children in China, the Republic of Korea, Singapore and Thailand. The article disclaims covering the issue completely. The problem is viewed mainly from the «Intellektual» school’s perspective and its activities. The article provides findings of observations and professional communication that took place during visits to China and Korea and direct contacts with the educators from Thailand and Singapore. The article concludes that the economic success of the South-East Asian countries is closely related to their educational policy in general, and the particular attention to working with gifted children in particular.
