On University Student Preparedness for the Social and Educational Activity

Abstract

The article discusses the issue of preparedness for the socio-educational activities, levels of preparedness and training requirements for social educators. The article focuses on the selection of effective mechanisms of professionalization in future specialists with higher professional education on the grounds of the activity approach to the construction of educational content in the higher education. The motivational, cognitive, activity and personal components of preparedness to professional activity in the future social educators is described. The stages in the development of scientific views on the issue of personal preparedness to the profession are discussed and their brief description is provided. Particular attention is paid to the development of the research field of specialists’ preparedness and to the scientific contributions to the formation of “preparedness” definition (N. V. Kuzmina, A. Ts. Puni, D.N. Uznadze, A. A. Derkach, V. A. Slastenin). The authors believe that the results of the study on development of preparedness to socio-educational activities may affect the improvement of professional culture of social educators and their activities.
