Abstract

The main goal of the research presented in this paper was to investigate the relationship of perceptions of parental family and own future family in two age group: teenagers and youth. The study involved 37 adolescents and 86 youth people. We show that in general, the representation of parental and own future family in both age groups are sufficiently differentiated, specific, positive. The representation of the future family are more formal in nature, affect the emotional sphere to a lesser extent. Statistical data analysis show that the relationship between perceptions of parental family and own future family exists in both age groups. Also, in the study was found a significant proportion of dysfunctional parental families (in terms of cohesion and flexibility). In describing their future families, the respondents tended to increase cohesion and flexibility, showed a tendency for marginal scores, which led to an increase in the proportion of dysfunctional families.
