Features of Display of Creativity in Role Conflict Situation in Early Adulthood

Abstract

This paper presents data of an empirical research on display of creativity in situations of role conflict in early adulthood.The study involved 68 students of the Astrakhan State University, of the following 5 faculties: Psychology, Geology & Geography, History, Business & Economics, and Physics & Engineering.A series of techniques and methods of statistical data analysis were used.The outcomes demonstrate the specifics of internal role conflict occurrence in young males and females.Reliable differences between males and females were found in such indicators of creativity as curiosity, imagination, and risk taking.As compared to males, females are more creative regardless of the type of locus of control in role conflict.Also, it was found that individuals with internal locus of control in role conflicts display higher rates of creativity than individuals with external locus.
