Interpersonal Relationships and Marital Satisfaction of Women Educators, Brought up in Single-Parent Families

1822

Abstract

This article proposes some theoretical generalizations of achievements in addressing the problem of interpersonal relations and marriage satisfaction. Special attention is paid to female teachers, brought up in single-parent families. The study showed that more than half of women from single-parent families have a need for dependence on other people, they need external control, making decisions is a difficult task for them. These women have a specific pattern of building relations with their husbands. They have a desire to compensate their deficiencies in communication with others, including their pupils. Women, unsatisfied with their marriage, regardless of the type of the parent family, are very careful while choosing the persons with whom they create deeper emotional relationships. Women, satisfied with their marriage, from the full families tend to establish close emotional relationships with others more often than spouses from single-parent families. The study of reflexive experience of women on the evaluation of their own family relationships will become a strong stimulus to rethink the contents and forms of work with the parents of their pupils.
