Abstract

The article covers the result of IEP implementation "Ethnopsychology of people of the East". The author stresses that the relevance of the topic is primarily due to the fact that in our time expanding economic, political and cultural contacts between Russia and East countries bring to the forefront the need for active studying their languages and cultures, not only in academic, but in the practical aspect. Expansion and strengthening of relations with these countries causes the demand for specialists competent not only in economic but also in cultural differences, fluent in language. It is noted that today there is a lack of personnel not only in border areas, but also in the central regions of Russia. The article emphasizes that despite the fact that in many Russian universities there is a course on oriental studies, currently in the system of higher education there is no special training for the ethnopsychology of the East. Also the author mentions that the Moscow State University of Psychology and Education has taken the first steps to establish a Chair of the ethnopsychology of East.
